New Possibilities

30th Apr 2008

I know that when I drop all thoughts and beliefs about the way things “Should be,” and accept “What is;” I am then open to see new possibilities and opportunities.     Namaste’  Ina

Serving Self

29th Apr 2008

My thoughts today are about: “Being of service.”  I realize the first person that I must serve is my own beingness.  I’m not referring to “Self Serving,” that’s the work of the ego and mind.  I’m referring to “Serving Self.”  Serving self is a way of being and living that honors, nurtures and supports the body and brain to function at their optimum, it’s taking the time to listen to one’s own inner guidance.  The body and the brain are the two main vehicles through which we can experience and express our own divinity, our Godliness.  Taking care of and honoring what has been given is the highest form of gratitude and grace.  Only when we fully support our own divine being can we then fully support another.   -   Ina

The Sun Still Shines

27th Apr 2008

When moving through a time in life that may seem gray, cloudy or even stormy I remind myself that even when the sky is filled with clouds and it is storming; the sun is still up there shining.  In this moment I may be unable to see the sun shining but that does not mean that it is not shining.  Just like the storms and clouds that move across the sky, changing continually; life is ever changing.  The birds do not wait for the clouds to clear before they sing.   -   Ina

Answers and Truth

25th Apr 2008

I was told a long time ago that: “All the answers I will ever need are already inside of me.”  At the time it made little sense.  Now I know that I am part of the Infinite Source; I may forget, but the connection does not stop.  Being part of the infinite source means that I am part of all that is, all that has ever been and all that will ever be.  The truth that I think I know in this moment is a lie and limited by the extent to which the human mind is able to comprehend and understand.  The truth that I know, exists only in this moment; requires no words of explanation and changes with each moment.  When I think about what is true, I am in the past; thinking about the past and missing the opportunity to experience this moment as it is being offered.   -   Ina

Choices

24th Apr 2008

As I move through each day I make choices.  Some choices are as simple as Regular or Decaf Coffee other choices have the potential to totally change the course of life.  Do I choose the path of least resistance, the path that seems familiar or safe?  Do I choose a path that seems slightly different or do I leap into the complete unknown?  If I am happy with where I am and with what has been created, then I continue to choose as I have been.  (Same old, same old.)  I have experienced the greatest opportunities for growth, change and adventure in those times when I leap into complete unknown and then keep leaping.          Namaste’ Ina

Seeing, Appreciating What Is

22nd Apr 2008

As I drove toward the city of Atlanta this morning with the sun just starting to hit the Capitol Dome I realized that I have done that so many times that I had stopped really seeing what was happening; and certainly stopped experiencing the joy and awe as the light and color changed.  This occurrence made me wonder just how much I zip by in the course of everyday life and do not see or appreciate.  How many people do I pass by without acknowledging their presence?  How many people in my life have I really taken the time to appreciate and acknowledge for the richness and gifts they bring to my life? There may not be a great deal of money in my bank account at this moment; but, I am rich.    -   Ina

The Nature of Letting Go

21st Apr 2008

I am reminded that when I try to hang on to the things in my life (Be it relationships, money, jobs, etc); I am living in fear and standing in the way of the natural ebb and flow of life.  Just as a flower comes up from a seeds, moves through the bud stage, then into full bloom.  No matter how beautiful the bloom is, in order to make way for a new flower the old must be allowed to complete its’ cycle.  Such is with life; when we are hanging on and resisting change we are not allowing the cycle to complete itself, thus standing in the way of new opportunities and blessings to be manifest.   -   Ina

Changing of the Seasons

20th Apr 2008

No matter where you live on this planet there is a shifting; changing of the seasons.  The blog today is not so much a thought, but a request.  No matter where you live or what your lifes schedule consists of; I urge you to take a few moments today to find some place where you can observe the seasonal changes.  Then close your eyes; find the still, silent space within your own being and observe any changes or shifts that are taking place there.  The changes that take place from the inside out can be our most profound changes and our greatest gifts; but frequently go unnoticed.  Just observe; be the witness.       Namaste’  Ina

Defending The Past, Creating New

18th Apr 2008

I was reminded this morning:  When I find myself engaged in trying to defend the past; I have to ask:  What part of me thinks that there is something that needs to be defended, or anything to defend?  Do I choose to defend the past or be fully present in this moment to create anew?  Both can not happen.  -  Ina

Where Is Your Focus?

17th Apr 2008

Each day; each moment of each day is like a gift wrapped in paper and ribbon.  Only when we are aware and present in each moment do we see what is being offered and then can savior the process of unwrapping the gift.  If the focus is on the destination, the blessings and joys of the journey are often missed.  Where is your focus?  -  Ina
