You are so free…

10th Jul 2008

There is a quote from “Tomorrow’s God,” by Neale Donald Walsch  that says; It is the paradox of freedom that freedom gives us the freedom to choose not to be free.” Do you truly get the impact of that statement? It says that we are so free that we are even free enough to choose bondage. Are you still be bound by your past, whether it be the recent past or 5, maybe even 25 years or more years ago? You no longer have to hold onto the past to continue to exist. There is nothing from your past that truly has anything to do with this moment of now; other than it brought you here. It is more significant to answer the call of this moment that attempting to change the moment that brought you here. Take a pause in time, take a breath, a deep breath and then choose how you with to respond; then watch what happens.

Today, I choose to only look at the moments that are right in front of me. I will drop all resistance and I will embrace this moment in time. I will be true to myself in these moments. I will pause, I will breath and then I will respond from the godliness that I am.

A day of liberation.

9th Jul 2008

This week our country celebrates freedom. Do you understand the difference between freedom and liberation?  You were born free and are ultimately free beings. However, liberation is the quality of freeing ourselves from what enslaves us. The mind is the only quality in life that tends to enslave us. You can liberate yourself from the antics of the mind, simply by observing and accepting what is occurring. Watch, observe and see what is happening inside your head and then choose if or how you wish to respond. Liberation can be found in the response.

Today, I am free to respond to what is happening and I take full advantage of that gift.

The only way through it

8th Jul 2008

Why is it that we put more credence on what someone else thinks about us more than what we know about our own self?  Only you can uncover or unravel the torment of your own mind. The process is one of acceptance and observing. However, most of us run from our own minds, we attempt to escape from what the mind is saying or doing.  Please begin to understand that the only way through this stuff is by moving through it. We cannot go around it, over it, under it or skip this step if you are truly a truth seeker. And also please understand that there is nothing that there that is real; it is only a projection of someone else’s thoughts anyway, it is our conditioned self.

Today, I begin or continue to journey inside. Today, I move through this stuff practicing observance and acceptance. It is in the observance and the acceptance that I begin to see who and what I truly am made of.

Look inside for the key

2nd Jul 2008

Why is it that we are so compelled to look outside ourselves for the answer, some truth, or some revelation? Simply put; because that is what we have been taught to do or conditioned to do. An inward journey can and does support you much more than any journey outside yourself. Begin to look within, begin to observe what is happening inside yourself; there you will find the key that will liberate you from your own prison.

Today, I will place my focus inside myself. Today, I look within, knowing that the key that unlocks the mystery of life is within me.

Simplicity is the key

1st Jul 2008

Whenever we are going through a difficult time, when things seem to be so complex we do not know where to turn,…turn towards simplicity. By our conditionings, we have this belief that when things are being complex, we must use complexity to remedy it. Can you not see that when a situation is complex and you add more complexity to it, the thing that was complex just gets bigger? Using the “Law of Balance,” wouldn’t it make more sense to realize that the only remedy for complexity is simplicity?

Today, I choose to use the simplest approach to support me through my day.

Even when you are not in the flow, you are still in the flow.

30th Jun 2008

But you could be fighting against the flow. Life is all there is. If it is not, life is not. While you are in the mind, you are either in the past or the future. Neither one are truly life. The past is done and ultimately the past is your perception of what took place. The future is not here, but yet a projection of some possible event that may or may not take place. Please remember…a “trigger” is nothing more than some past event enforcing itself onto the present. The future is nothing more than some projected idea about what may or may not happen, enforcing itself onto the present. And neither one has much to do with the moment of NOW.So be attentive to this moment. Be attentive to the mind enforcing itself onto some present moment. Watch, no matter what is occurring. All you have to do is watch, be attentive and do nothing with it. I know that seems way too easy or way too difficult, dependant on what is occurring.  And remember this, as you are watching, acceptance is the key.

Today, I watch, I observe and I accept.

Letting go of the oars

27th Jun 2008

We have all heard the flow of life is often like the flow of a river. Sometimes the flow is like a gentle stream and other times, it is like a raging river; taking us down white water rapids. At times, we say we want that gentle stream, but then we get bored and want for it to speed up. Other times, we wish it would just slow down; things get going too fast and we scream just as strongly as when we think it should go faster.

We also have heard that “Life supports Life.” However, more times than not, we do not practice that truth or believe it. The mind gets involved; it wants what it wants, when it wants it. Or, we think we know best.

Today, let go of the oars. Stop paddling against the flow.  Let the flow of life, the flow of the river, take you where it is leading and see for yourself that life always gives us more than if we got involved.

Today, I consciously let go of the oars. I trust the flow of life. I can now relax and let go and KNOW that all is well.

Life always is in motion, moves and changes.

18th Jun 2008

So often, we attempt to hold onto things, not wanting them to change. Equally so, when we are not enjoying what is occurring, we scream for it to change, we complain about it, tell our friends about it, continue to focus upon it, etc. Either way, both are utterly ridiculous. Life is in a constant state of change and even if you can not see that it is changing, then you are the culprit for that as well. It may be changing, but what it is changing to is just another re-enactment of what has already been. Begin to realize that you are the writer, author, director, set designer, etc. for your play of life.  Today’s affirmation…

I know that life is in a constant state of change. Change is ever present and omnipotent. I embrace the changes as they arise, knowing that things are as they are because they can not be any other way. I affirm the knowingness that the Universe knows what is best for me and I embrace the changes, knowing that all is well.

If life is like a big pot of stew…

16th Jun 2008

If creating life is like mixing a bunch of ingredients together to create a big pot of stew, what ingredients are you putting in your stew? Life does not care if you add fresh and wholesome ingredients or generic, artificial ingredients. Life only cooks and simmers it; you are the one that has to eat it!

Today, I choose with clear intentions what ingredients I add to my life as well as the life of others.

Being truthful to myself and others is one of the greatest gifts that I give to myself.

13th Jun 2008

Truth only reveals itself in the time of NOW, therefore, the mind which only has the capacity to take the now and compare it to the past or some projected future. It would support you beyond measure to begin to be truthful to yourself and being truthful means to live in the now. As I have said before, fighting against what is occurring is futile and worthless. Honor what it is that you are feeling; be truthful to that and allow it to move in its own time and evolution.

Today, I honor and respect what I am feeling. I do not have to use what has happened to build another story around it. I honor what I am feeling by listening, respecting and moving with it. As I move with it, it moves through me and passes on its own accord. Life always is changing and if something begins, it must end. I honor it through its whole process.
